The stage light slowly dims,
This show is finally over.
Turning over the new leaf,
Doesn't bring you any closer.
The blind man can now see,
The deaf still can't hear.
The questions of life still unanswered,
Thoughts of you gone are my fear.
The prophets still have no clue,
On which God will lead them to the light.
Saviors looking for their answers,
Giving it all to some unknown fight.
The young man now cries,
For his heart is now broken.
Riding a subway to nowhere,
Too broke to buy a token.
The actors take their final bow,
The applause begins to fade.
Can't forget you now,
Can't forget the promises that we made.
So now the audience leaves,
Going home to wake the dawn.
But I am left on the stage,
Sleeping hurts too much now that your gone...
